UNESCO IESALC: Course on Ethics & Academic Integrity Inspired by CHARLIE

As a result of the CHARLIE project's methodology and educational content, UNESCO IESALC developed and delivered a highly successful course titled “Nuevas perspectivas sobre ética e integridad académica en la docencia y la investigación universitaria” in early 2025.

Designed for higher education professionals across Latin America and beyond, the course explores academic integrity and ethical challenges in the age of Artificial Intelligence, drawing directly from the CHARLIE project’s EQF4 and EQF6 learning frameworks.

With over 1,000 registered participants in its first edition and new editions already planned, this collaboration is a testament to CHARLIE’s global relevance and scalability.

The course includes a dedicated module on algorithmic bias and uses Charlie's educational escape room methodology as an example of interactive ethical learning.

The course developed and coordinated by Cinta Gallent Torres and Jean Gabriel Guerrero Dib in collaboration with UNESCO IESALC, IRAFPA, and Red-IA.
